View in room with our updated Floorstyle interactive design tool

Posted on the 09/01/2020 by Designflooring

We’re the first to release a revolutionary new ‘view in room’ digital tool with the exclusive functionality to view alternative laying patterns and introduce added design features when selecting a floor.

Available to use on mobile, tablet or desktop, our new look Floorstyle enables interior designers, architects and contractors to try out a range of different gluedown, loose lay and rigid core floor designs in any commercial environment.

Users simply take a photograph of their chosen room or upload an existing image to get started. Once selected, Floorstyle can automatically show any wood, stone or abstract design in a range of laying patterns such as herringbone, basketweave or ship’s deck. There’s also the opportunity to explore design strips for an authentic finish or adding definition, as well as various laying angles.

It means users can try out different floors in real time when specifying Designflooring for different projects. As well as being able to divide the room and compare different designs on Floorstyle, there’s also a new ‘add to favourites’ feature which allows users to easily go back to their preferred choices.

“We’re always looking at ways in which we can make selecting a floor to match the individual requirements of any project even easier for interior designers, architects and contractors,” explains Steve Curry, general manager of Designflooring.

He said: “Floorstyle is accessible to all and makes swapping out different designs and laying patterns simple and a vital part of the decision process. We know specifiers want to see how different designs will look as part of different projects instantly.

“Being the first to introduce this level of digital tool allows us to make the selection process much more sophisticated when at home.”

If users prefer to not ‘view in room’, they can choose from different pre-set commercial settings including office, hospitality and retail spaces, and add contrasting or complementary colours on the walls or cabinets. With access to the entire product collection, Floorstyle also features the newest concrete hues to join Designflooring’s loose lay collection including sealed and polished finishes.
